How do I reserve my date?
A signed contract and deposit will officially reserve your date. The deposit is not an additional fee and will be applied to your total rental fee.
How many guests can you accommodate at your property?
Our max guest capacity is 200 guests.
Do you host multiple events in one day?
No, we only have one event per day.
How long is the venue rental?
We offer both full day and partial day packages, please see our “wedding” page for more information
Do you allow pets on the property?
Yes, we are very pet friendly! Pets are allowed in all outdoor areas including the Chapel and Reception area. No pets are allowed inside the main historic building. All pets should have a designated handler for the duration of the day that is not a bridal party member. All pets must remain on leash for the entire event. We also ask that you properly clean up after your pet.
Do I need to hire a wedding planner?
All wedding packages booked after October of 2022 now include a day of coordinator/wedding director to lead and direct your rehearsal, ceremony and reception. They will also work with you to create your wedding timeline.
If you need additional planning/budget/design services you are welcome to work with a full service wedding planner however it is not required.
Do you allow live bands?
Yes, we welcome live musicians and full bands for events.
Can we provide our own catering not through a professional catering service?
No, with the exception of small events such as baby/bridal showers, we require all clients to hire a licensed and insured caterer. We have a recommended catering list with over 16 caterers to help you find your perfect match.
Do you allow alcohol on the property?
Yes! Vesuvius Vineyards may provide bartending for your event for an additional fee based on event size and duration. You are welcome to provide your own beer and wine however all beer and wine must be served Vesuvius Vineyards bartending. If Liquor will be served then you must hire a licensed and insured caterer or professional bartending company that on our recommended vendor list.
What is the back-up plan for rain or inclement weather if using outdoor space?
The use of our covered open-air Wedding Chapel is included for all wedding packages as a backup rain plan for your ceremony. While Vesuvius Vineyards already provides several beautiful outdoor ceremony locations, the Chapel allows all of our brides’ piece of mind in knowing they have a beautiful back up location in case of inclement weather, taking away any stress of planning an outdoor wedding.
How do I schedule my ceremony rehearsal?
We include a 1 hour rehearsal time the week of your event. Rehearsals can be scheduled Monday-Thursday evenings, or Friday/Saturday mornings before 10 am.
Rehearsal dinners can be added to your wedding package subject to availability for an additional fee.
Do you have decoration restrictions?
We are very flexible with decorations and only have a couple of restrictions.
You may hang items on the walls of the reception area or Chapel with command hooks. Nails and tape are prohibited due to damage they cause to the walls.
Since we are an outdoor facility, no glitter, confetti, small pieces of paper, bird seed, etc. may be used as decoration. Fake rose petals cannot be used on the grass but real petals are allowed.
Open flame candles are permitted for both the ceremony and reception locations but must be in appropriate candle holders to prevent them from falling over and to catch the wax.
Sparkler exits are welcome!
Is there on-site parking for my guests?
We have a large parking area onsite that can accommodate all of your guests. We have a vendor only and handicap parking area directly behind the house.
Do you offer overnight accommodations for guests?
No, we do not have onsite accommodations for guests. Most of our guests stay in hotels in Huntersville or Lincolnton.
Do you allow photo sessions on your property?
All wedding packages include both a complimentary engagement session and a bridal session.
Photo sessions are available to those not hosting their event with us for the following fees:
Bridal, Engagement and Boudoir Sessions: $100
Family, maternity and senior sessions: $50
Mini Session fees for photographers: please contact us with your specific hourly needs for current pricing
This all sounds great, when can I schedule a tour?
We are available by appointment weekdays from 9-6 and weekend mornings. All tours will be scheduled around our event schedule. Please contact us at [email protected] to schedule your tour.
